The following manuscript, along with two video tapes of security camera footage, was found in the fourth floor of an empty office building next to what remains of a mangled, once locked, metal door. The building, located deep in the forests of North Dakota, was repossessed by the city, repaired, and sold to a software…
Nightmares. We all have them, one time or another. Everything has a dark side, our dreams were meant to be a place of jubilation, and contain our most wonderful fantasies. This is kinda like an award. Some of us work our asses off all day long, and then come home to a nice cozy bed….
The knocking sound had been coming and going in my engine, and I had a feeling that my Nissan Stanza was about to die. In the back of my mind was a tiny voice screaming that it was over sixty miles to the next town and I would never make it. My fiancée, Nichole, had…
It was late September when I traveled north to the Great Lakes. It was one of the last stops for the last chapter of my book, starting with the eastern most part of Michigan and slowly making my way up to the Canadian border of Minnesota learning all I can about the Ojibwe people. My…
As long as can I remember, I’ve had that mirror in my room. It was long and spanned over almost half the wall. Just a plain, simple mirror. My parents had told me it was there since we had moved in and thought it was certainly fitting for a girl like myself and thus, never…
Handbook for the Study of the Unknown, By Professor V. I. Hayworth Chapter One – Beginning Precautions There is an eternal problem that plagues those of us drawn to the study of the darkness. It is our innate humanity. For to the creatures of the darkness, human is synonymous with prey. For the average citizen this is no…
There’s a strange phenomenon I’ve noticed on several television reports from the early 1960’s onwards. There may be more before, but since I got my first television in 1962, I can’t say for sure. I would like to post this here to ask if anybody else has noticed, or seen any others. It started in…
I know this road better than I know myself. I know each of Interstate 85’s 250 odd miles; I know that it takes me an average of 3 hours and 26 minutes to drive west, from Charlotte to Atlanta, and an average of 3 hours and 29 minutes to make the same trip going eastward….
Hey, guys! I’ve been plotting this post for awhile, but the site had other ideas, so this is going up a bit later than intended… As I’m sure you’re all very aware, the holiday season is upon us. I’ve been kicking around the idea that we could try some crowd-funded charity as a community, and…
It’s time for another Creepypasta giveaway! Geek Chic Cosmetics is an indie brand that specializes in making fragrances, nail polish, and makeup based off popular “nerd” culture – so lots of video games, sci-fi, cult classic movies, etc are referenced in their names. This set caught my eye because it uses as inspiration a number…
Hey, everyone! It’s been a few days since I implemented the fix – special thanks to CloudFlare tech support for figuring it out after everyone else I’d approached had been baffled – and it appears that we are fully in the clear with regards to the ratings plugin. I haven’t received any reports of malfunctions,…
“Time for sleep; the Nail is near. “But good children needn’t fear. “Close the left eye, then the right. “Now it’s time to say good night.” Until I was nine, I didn’t really think about it. Or if I thought about it at all, I thought it was just a normal lullaby that mothers all…
ORANGE THREE _________________ PART ONE The red fabric seats held nothing but dust. That made him uneasy. He didn’t know what to expect, but he did expect someone. The letter told him the exam would be held the following day, at the old theater, and that he should take a seat in the main auditorium….
“There it is. The old orphanage!” Bryce shouted eagerly, pointing haphazardly in front of us. He leaned up from his place in the back seat, and the smell of whiskey oozed from his lips and seemingly saturated the air. Using my elbow, I attempted to push him back. “Calm the hell down, dude. We see…
This is Part 1 of the Did Boy Kill? series. You can read the other installments in the linked tag. I had an incredibly interesting conversation today with someone I love deeply. I do not know what to make of it, but what I do know is that our foundation has cracked, whether he knows…
The year was 2014 AD. A lonely man sits in his windowless laboratory, tinkering with his newest project. The man, one Dr. Arthur Garvin, was a software and robotics engineer, working for the Rockwell BioMechanical Logistics Corporation, out of Langley, Virginia. He sat alone in his lab for 11 hours Monday through Friday working tirelessly…
I’ve kept this story from most people I know, as the ones I have told have deemed me absolutely insane. I’m seeking refuge here because most of you have seemed to have similar issues. This happened about 2 years ago. My mother died when I was 5 years old. She had been a frequent drug…
This is Private Blake Aaron of the U.S. Special Forces, I’m stationed outside the city of Los Angeles with what is left of my original squad and I am recording the events that I have just witnessed in the hopes that someone finds this report if we don’t make it out of here. This report…
I know there are thousands of people who don’t believe in God, or the devil. I wish I was telling you a God fearing story of how an angelic being appeared and changed my whole fucked up life, but this is not one of those stories. I’m not sure if God is real and if…
I grew up in a small, quiet town called Dureyham. Everybody knew each other, and there was a beautiful forest nearby in which I lived, in a wooden cabin. I lived with my father, my mother had died during labour. I had been forever pained with guilt at the fact that the beginning of my…
Most people who choose to go hiking do so in the summer or spring, but some of my college friends and I tend to prefer hiking in the winter. After our final arduous semester of college, our small gang of three decided to go on a road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and try…
As you’re eating dinner, watching reruns on TV, they’re watching. As you sit on your computer late at night, they’re watching. When you walk from your bedroom to the bathroom late at night, you can be certain that they’re watching. They watch everything you do. They listen to every little sound you make. They’re with…
NEW HALLOWEEN THEME First, the obvious. Yes, we have a new layout going for Halloween! Consider it Creepypasta.com’s Halloween costume, if you will. I hope that everyone enjoys the look – it will definitely be up for a few weeks at least, and if the community likes it enough, we can easily keep it and…
This month’s post is intended as a companion to last month’s Favorite Creepypasta Genres & Topics discussion. I’d like to get a handle on the current state of the community’s likes and dislikes, both for my own use when selecting pastas as well as for the benefit of aspiring authors. I plan on linking both…
