Day 1: Today things started to get strange. Before I elaborate, I need to give some back-story. About two weeks ago I got back from fall vacation. For the first week, my friend Owen was not at school. He didn’t answer my texts, calls, and as far as I know was not on any social networking site. For a while I was able to shrug this off, because many families who had traveled for break had yet to return. However the next week Owen was still gone. I asked some of my friends if they knew where Owen had gone to for break, and none of them thought he had traveled over break.

Owen and I are game commentators. I assume because this is on the Internet, I don’t need to explain what gaming commentary is. On our xbox live accounts we decided to put our youtube channels as our bios for a small advertisement. A few days ago when I went to play some games, I checked Owen’s profile to check when he was last on live. The last time he was online was two days before break ended. This meant that Owen had not gone away for break. I also noticed that his bio had changed to a different youtube channel. The bio read “”. Out of curiosity I looked at the channel, only three videos were available at the time. I watched the first video entitled “Wonderland”.

This video was odd. It starts off showing odd pictures of a dark room, and then transitions to a clip from an old black and white film based on “Alice in Wonderland”. The video at times seems distorted because the colors tend to change radically. The music is what sounds like children laughing and singing a happy song. The video then ends with text that reads “I bring them to Wonderland”.

[fvplayer src=”″]

The second video, called “The Rabbit Hole” was probably the least odd out of all of them, which is saying nothing really. It was a POV video of someone walking around the outside of a very rundown house during the day. The place was very run down, and almost looked like it had been a farm before it was abandoned. The person walked into a door, leading into part of the house, then the video went black for a few seconds. It then changed to a clip of the camera looking down from the top of stairs at a door, If I remember correctly, this image was at the beginning as well. For some strange reason I feel like I’ve seen that house before, though I’m not too sure why.

[fvplayer src=”″]

I then watched the third video entitled “The First”. I found this video to be the strangest of the three. It started off with a hand lying in water, with quiet static being played in the background. After a few seconds of this the static grew louder and changed to another clip. The clip was of Owen, walking through the woods. What was really strange, was that it seemed that the person filming him was somewhat far away, as if Owen was being filmed with his knowing. The video changed again, and the static grew even louder. The clip now was of a person sitting in a chair with what almost looked like… plastic over his face. In the far background of the clip was something I was not able to make out. I wasn’t sure what it was, or whether it was human or not, but I could see that it was moving. This video ended with the text “Curiouser and Curiouser”.

[fvplayer src=”″]

I wonder if the person filming in “The Rabbit Hole” is Owen, because he is seen holding a camera in the third video. Perhaps he was walking to the house with the camera filming? I digress, whoever Three Drowned is knows where Owen is, and I’m afraid something horrible has happened to my friend.Today is two days after I first saw the videos on youtube.

As I said earlier, things have started to get weird. All of today, while I was walking around I felt like someone was following me. Even when I was at home, it seemed like someone was watching me. I’ll think I see something out of the corner of my eye, and then when I try to find it, it’ll be gone. I’ll continue updating if anything gets weirder.

Day 2: I swear I saw something. I said before how it was normally out of the corner of my eye, that maybe it’s just me being paranoid, or scared about this whole Three Drowned thing. No. Not this time. I saw something. It may have only been for less than a second, but it was definitely there.

I know something is watching me. I feel like a god damn lunatic doing this, but I have to start filming what I do. God, I feel like a character from “Marble Hornets”, but it’s the only way I’ll be able to figure what the hell is going on.

To make matters worse, I feel like I’m beginning to lose things. I noticed today that my copy of Alice in Wonderland was missing. And yesterday, one of my kitchen knives seemed to have just disappeared.

Day 3: Three Drowned added a new video today, called “Journey” I don’t know what it means, but I know the place where it’s filmed.

It’s a POV video walking through the woods; it then cuts to another POV video walking into the run down house from “The Rabbit Hole”. Not much else happens in the video. The POV highlights certain things, then cuts to black for a while. It seems like there isn’t much to the video, however I think I know why that house seems familiar. I’ve passed it before while driving through my town a couple of times, and it’s always stuck out to me as being really creepy looking. I plan to find this house tomorrow.

[fvplayer src=”″]

This whole thing is really starting to take a number on me; I’ve had trouble sleeping. Today in class, there was someone outside watching me. It looked like he was talking to someone else who was outside, but I could see him watching me through the corner of my eye. I kept on turning my head to try and catch him in the act, but he was too fast. Every time I turned my head, he would shift his eyes away and continue talking to whoever the hell he was talking to. Like nothing was going on.

I have reviewed the footage from my camera when I have filmed myself, and I couldn’t find anything, but I know I’ve seen it. What the hell is happening to me?

Day 4: This afternoon I decided to drive to the house seen in some of Three Drowned’s videos. It was a stupid idea. But then again, I suppose it’s better than just waiting in my house not sure what the hell to do. The doors and windows in the front were boarded up, so I tried to get into the back door. This door was open. For the most part the house seemed completely desolate. There didn’t seem anything too significant inside the house. The garage was empty, so was most of the floor I was on, and there wasn’t any upper floor.

I was about to leave, slightly disappointed but very relieved, until I heard the cries of a child in the distant. It seemed like it was coming from below. I hadn’t even realized there was a basement till I heard the cries, perhaps because I didn’t notice the door leading to the basement. I looked around for something to defend myself with because I sure as hell was not going into that basement without some sort of defense. I found a wooden board, opened the door that led into the basement, and walked down the steps.

The crying got louder. It was pitch black in the basement; I could barely see anything even with the light coming from the top of the staircase. The only way I was able to see anything was from looking at my camera screen while it was set to night vision. The basement was extremely dirty, the entire floor was covered with small puddles of what I hope was water. Broken chairs littered the ground. There was ivy growing all over the back wall, there seemed to be dolls nailed to the wall as well, with ivy growing through them. What I found to be most unsettling though was the table in the center of the room. There were fingernail scratchings all over the surface, and teeth scattered across it. On the ivy wall was a door. This is where the child’s cries were coming from (thankfully the barbed wire did not cover the door, or things would have been very difficult for me). Just when I put my hand on the door’s handle, the child stopped crying. Although strange, I didn’t think much of it and opened the door. I opened the door and found a small closet with a very old looking stroller. The inside of the stroller held many blankets, and I checked through them, trying to find the small child who was crying. I wasn’t able to find anything in the stroller but my copy of “Alice in Wonderland”.

Something then attacked me from behind. It may have been Three Drowned, but I wasn’t sure. I was not able to get a good look at it because the room was too dark, and I wasn’t able to look at it through my camera, despite struggling to do so. I was able to hit it with the board I had taken down with me (probably after pathetically flailing it around for a little bit). I tried to run back upstairs, but it was hard to tell where the staircase was (it seemed to have gotten noticeably darker up there, less light was shining down from the staircase). By the time I was upstairs and outside I saw why it had gotten so dark. Night had already fallen, even though I had came to the house early afternoon, it seemed that somehow it was about 9:00. I wasn’t sure if whatever attacked me before was still following me, but I didn’t look back. Not until I was in my car, and driving home.

I recently got back and reviewed the footage, to make note of anything I caught on film in the house. It isn’t what I found that was significant, but what I can’t find. The entire segment of the basement is gone. It seems to cut off when I remembered hearing the crying, but it seems like I’m about to exit the house when it cuts off. I don’t remember going anywhere near the exit at that point. The rest of what I thought I had filmed from today (the basement, the attack, and me driving home) is completely absent. Now I really have no clue what to think. Did I just dream up that entire basement event?

Day 5: Forget what I had said about “Journey” I don’t know what is going onI remember specifically watching the video in its entirety. and nothing coming up once the screen turns to black. I watched the video again today, and when it cuts to black it stays that way for a minutethen changes. The clip after the black is footage from my camera. The clip is of my bedroom at night (on the second floor may I add). I am sleeping in the bed. Soon something walks past my bedroom’s window slowly. It peers in and then slowly walks away. After a couple more seconds, the video ends.

I am scared. I am more paranoid than ever. Before I though That maybe there is some sort of strange, explanation to all this this. Thatmaybe, I’ll soon wake up and have a good laugh about that nightmare. But no. This is no dream. Whatever Three Drowned is, it took that from my own camera. It knows where I live, and who I am. and who I am. This is proof. I’m not sure what happened to all my other footage, but Ithink Three Drowned did something to it.

I thought this would be enough proof, and so I decided to tell the police. I picked up the phone and was about to call when I saw the missing knife sitting on my kitchen table; it was covered in dried blood. Next to the knife was a note written in dark pencil. It read “I wouldn’t call the police if I was you, friend.”

Day 6: its put in many videos today on its account.they’re all footage from my camera. isee it in the videos. its watching me. Around, and around, and around, and around it goes. I’m on carousal. There is no end. I cant been able to sleep. I dont go anywhere. Why should I? What point? it’s watching me.No escape. can’t talk to anyone. it’ll get them too. What the fuck is it waiting for. End this already. Please, just leave me alone. Does it enjoywatching me like this? Me squirm? Does it enjoy watching me suffer like this?

Day 7: I am Madeline. I have been to wonderland. It was too dark to see. I like this man. What he says is interesting. it makes us think. I think we all need to think sometimes. And as I watch him like this, I feel sorry for him. He is a poor little child at this point. Lost in wonderland. He is suffering. Although he seems to be quite the character, isn’t he? Always walking and watching with himself. It makes me giigle. He doesn’t notice them. H e doesn’t notice anyone but noone is there noone to help him not one person to hlp him wy wont they hep he ltlchildwhyhynnklfl;L;H’BFB;LASDBNJB

Day 7: Madeline is dead. We’re all dead. It did kill Madeline. But I suppose I did as well. I miss her gorgeous bright green eyes. Her pretty dark hair. As dark and as magnificent as a starry night sky. My god she was pretty. At a quick glance before this, I wouldn’t have been too stunned by her beauty, but thinking about her now. I wish I could have spent my life with this beautiful woman. She’s dead now. Nothing will ever bring her back. You know what I miss most about Madeline? Her beautiful smile. I am the lone doll hanging. Another lie on the ground. Where is th third. I never did make it out of wonderland.

Day 7: Good Bye.

Most of the pastas I’ve read don’t seem creepy, but I am genuinely scared right now.

  2. To all who are curious about the videos,
DO NOT WATCH THEM. A few of my friends and I watched them, and they got emails on our school accounts which are only allowing people in our school to email us from three drowned saying “I’m watching you.”. About an hour later, one of them got an email saying “u wanna meet Alice?”. You can only delete these emails. The next day at our school, they got messages on binders, on the bathroom wall, on their hands saying, “i’m coming”, “almost there”, “we’re here”. We have also seen things outside. New holes, strange shadows and figures, and we are terrified. I know you probably think I am making this up, but I don’t normally believe in these types of things and now I AM SO TERRIFIED. We just started to get more emails, “that was your friend wasn’t it?”. For your sanity and possibly your life, DO NOT WATCH THESE POSTED VIDEOS.

  3. I’m afraid to watch the videos. I guess reading it before watching it does ruin some of the “fun” but I’m freaked out. Actually, I’m going to watch the first video.

So I watched the first video but I’m not watching anymore because SCREW THIS FREAKY JUNK.

  4. Squiddoesminecraft

    A couple of things:
    1. Atrocious grammar and spelling
    2. What the heck does the guy watching the main character have to do with this? Explain the whole thing to me now.
    3. What the FACK does Madeline have to do with this? Is it a filler?

  5. I swear I have no idea why this scared me it was one of those pastas that scares me and then I forget about it then I read again and the cycle continues

  6. You know what, usually I’m one to complain about bad grammar, but I got the point with this one. I mean, the first couple of days are very well written, so the only reason the grammar goes downhill is because the author is going psycho, right? Makes sense. Fine. Story-driven bad grammar, I am down with.

The videos are the perfect touch. I kept waiting for a jump scare, and there was none, thank God – it was just subtle, weird as hell creepiness. Something was off about all of the videos, and that’s what made them good. Nothing loud, or anything jumping out – that’s just cheap startling. This was genuinely creepy.

Also, maybe I’m the only one who thinks these things, but a) if you really think this shit is “book-length” or “tl;dr”, you guys need to open a fucking book. I keep going through these creepypastas and finding ones that are maybe 20 paragraphs long and everyone says “tl;dr”. You fuckers don’t know what “tl;dr” is. Read unabridged Les Miserables sometimes, then come back to me and complain about this shit being “tl;dr”. Oh, you’ll read it if it’s in a book, but somehow, this is fucking different. I hate people who say “tl;dr”.

    b) I don’t need everything spoon-fed to me. You don’t need to tell me what happened to Owen (I infer that he was killed, because I have a thing called brains, which do things like deduce clues from what I read and see). I don’t even need to know who Madeleine is. He gets attacked in a basement and goes ape-shit crazy and kills people and wears a scary as fuck bunny mask. What more do you people want?

  7. I wrote this pasta, and I was hoping to clear some things up, seeing how a lot of people seem confused. There’s some underlying things in this pasta (I apologize for the pretentiousness), so I don’t really wanna give everything away, and hopefully leave some room for interpretation.

    1. Madeline is a figment of the character’s insanity, one of his multiple personalities.

    2. Owen’s dead, which is why he isn’t mentioned towards the end. There is a reason for the lack of mention, though.

    3. Note that the character and Threedrowned are never together.

Also the Marble Hornets inspiration was kind of unconscious (this was more inspired by Ben), and I added the reference for some self-awareness when I noticed the similarities.

Anyways, hope this kind of cleared some things up, sorry if I come off as somewhat pretentious, and many thanks for the compliments and criticism!

  8. I kinda expected this to turn into an alternate reality game… :/ Dunno why. Still, I’m a bit disappointed the guy dies in the end.

  9. i love this pasta. but madeline…. he lost me there, who was she? i have a few ideas but none are very good…
    a figment of his insanity
    the person he killed
    or a split-personality
i wish we had known who she was for real though, i love the day 7 where she speaks “he is just a child why won’t they help him?” becoming increasingly distorted had to be my favorite post. i’m not sure why- i just loved how her character worded things. and to every one saying this is a marble hornets knock-off- have you seen marble hornets? there is no mention of slenderman in this. the only vague similarity is the fact that they both make youtube videos…. as do millions of other people. i loved the insanity- watching the narrator slowly lose his mind. it was a lovely story, i wish there were more like this on the site.
a lovely dish of creepy pasta- what’s for desert?

  10. I think what the author was trying to do here, is maybe show how the character transforms into the Madhatter? Just me, maybe Madeline is another split identity?

  11. This just feels like a shitty rip-off of marble hornets, which is ironic, because you even mentioned it in the pasta.

  12. This was definitely good, and the videos are definitely a nice touch, It must have taken significantly more effort to include the videos as opposed to simply writing a story. Unfortunately, while this does capture some of the Marble Hornets spirit, it’s simply too vague, puts too much in too short of a time.

Since this obviously does take inspiration from Marble Hornets, I guess I could use that as an example. The thing about Marble Hornets is that while Slendy isn’t necessarily always at the forefront, he is kept at that level where he becomes this definite, looming evil. He’s made to be overbearing to the main characters while keeping a sense of mystery about him. The problem here is that we never even got a sense of what was chasing after the main character. Sure, people were watching him, and something happened to his friend, and that girl named Madeline is dead now, and the main character may or may not have descended into madness. But there wasn’t time to get involved. Sure, whatever this thing was did some pretty creepy shit, but there wasn’t that real sense that it was out to get the main character. Seemed more like he watched some videos, and now he refuses to leave his house.

Make of it what you will, just something for thought. Hope it helps. I give the story a 7/10.

  13. Savannah Sunflash

The videos were okay, but got a little long and boring towards the end. I was expecting a jump scare out of them at first, but after a while the videos became tedious.
The videos seemed to contain the same effects and noise filters/sound effects as those of Marble Hornets/TotheArk, which also became a bit tedious because I already watch Marble Hornets.
There was a disconnect with the videos in the writing as well. This is the writing associated with the video “The First”:
“The video changed again, and the static grew even louder. The clip now was of a person sitting in a chair with what almost looked like… plastic over his face. In the far background of the clip was something I was not able to make out. I wasn’t sure what it was, or whether it was human or not, but I could see that it was moving.” This part of the video was not seen until the next video, and it threw me off of the story.
Also, the introduction of a new character at the end was probably a bad call. Yes, it’s mysterious, but it’s also confusing and frustrating. And the fact that nothing more was mentioned of Owen was frustrating as well.

Praise: It was a creepypasta. The videos were cleverly done at first, and the story had a lot of potential. It definitely hooked my interests at the first read, but there were too many holes in the webbery to hold them.

@Lolage “Curiouser and Curiouser” is a quote from Alice in Wonderland, by the way. He’s alluding to the book, so that’s a spelling error you’ll have to take up with Lewis Carroll.

  14. I like how it goes from a normal kid telling the story to a madman. It really helps show how the videos are tormenting the main character who I assume is Madeline .

  15. Thought this was excellent.

Very creepy and the videos added a heap of death. Was very original too. Haven’t red a creepy pasta like this one.

Still had no idea what was really going on though..

    But who is Madeline?

  16. I don’t know how he got past the admins and editors with the joined words due to missing spaces. “isee”? Really, this is why people are pissed that there even such thing as a “crappypasta.” Not to mention, they have a fairly decent amount of stories that kick the crap out the garbage i see on this site sometimes.

  17. 1) too many videos. they may seem like a good idea, but this is supposed to be a written story, not a movie.

the written parts were very good though.

    2) there is no such word as ‘Curiouser’.

    3) Who on earth is Madeline?

  18. I didn’t like it. It’s particulary downhill from day 7 on.
Nobody knows who the hell Madeline is, and there are a few loose ends. Like where is Owen, what is with the “drowned” theme, and can we know a little more about the bad guy(s) here? And wouldn’t Owen, Madeline and the protagonist make “three” anyway? Wtf is the significance of three, btw? It’s not even like you merely didn’t tie your story together, but as though you didn’t even finish the story to yourself as you were thinking it up.

And actually, the videos /were/ clever – but only some. Half of them were just a full minute+ watching nothingness. I realize it’s to build anxiety and to see a shadow or two in the background, but I definitely could’ve done without a few. It took too long. They were mostly boring.

  19. I read Angel’s Song then hit the link to this story. Critique: Again, your writing does lead the reader but there are obvious snags. You repeat yourself quite often. It takes the reader out of the story. Example…”It was a POV video of someone walking around the outside of a very rundown house during the day. The place was very run down,”… Don’t use the same verb or adjective in the same paragraph, or few paragraphs if possible. Also you said the baby’s cry seemed to come from below. I was derailed again. The sentence should have finished with something like “below the very floor on which I stood.” There were some punctuation and grammatical errors, but that’s to be expected in this venue. The tense changed a few times because of the choice of words. Videos were very clever, too long though. Short videos give us less information which keeps us guessing. Praise: You lead me well until Day 7. I was able to overlook the errors because the story took me by the hand and had me standing in the room with the character. The videos and the youtube tie-in theme was really good. It was believable, and that the mark of a good story teller. Overall, whether the story was a knock-off of another or not, it was put together decently well. As the writing becomes cripser, the stories will jump off the page.

  20. I love the effort. If everyone put this much effort into their pastas it would just be amazing. I was a little unsatisfied with the story though, especially towards the end. I wish I could say why it was unsatisfying. One thing though-you made the right call not explaining everything. When a scary story explains everything it isn’t quite as creepy anymore.

    7/10 including points for effort.

  21. this is by far one of my favorite pastas. the videos really added a nice touch to it and made it so much more creepier. i enjoyed this a lot actually

  22. justanuthercritic

im not an expert, but i think i know whats lacking. hope. people watch things like marble hornets there is hope. at one point, the main character leaves tows and gets better, so there is a way out. here, its just “no way out no way out SHITSHITSHIT” and in the end, boom, no way out. it gives the feeling that we’ve been let down. just my opinion.

  23. That was a cheap MarbleHornets rip-off. Those of you that said it was good obviously have never seen it.
I totally agree with Brandon, the fact that it was mentioned and also had a Slenderman-like appearance totally ruined it. Gimme something original, come on.

  24. It was way too similar to MarbleHornets in the plot buildup and the reference really killed it for me. Especially when there was a similar-to-slendy appearance in some videos. The self video recording, paranoid character, friend’s disappearance, I get inspiration, but this was too recognizable

  25. I was afraid that something in the videos was gonna pop out. Like a screamer or something. I hate those. but im glad nothing did :3 that makes me like this story a lot. Its creepy

  26. Overall a stellar effort. Sort of unravels at the end, final reveal video undoes a lot of good buildup work. Monster POV videos should be like 10 seconds maximum length, no shadows, no hands, no clue whatsoever as to what is behind the camera.

Keep making stuff like this. I can tell you guys have a knack for it and you’ll only get better with practice.

  27. Okay, why was I really far away from my screen, curled up, and biting my wrist? Oh right cause of the videos. Nice touch.

    (don’t judge me)

  28. I’m sure I’m not the only one who saw this, but decided to get back to it later in order to mentally prepare for its length.
When you’re not actually opening up a book, it’s a tad overwhelming to be surprIsed with one.

  29. You know, I want to say that this was clever for the simple fact of how seemingly well thought out it was.. but honestly the execution was rather poor. The videos were a nice touch and gave a lot of depth to the story but all in all it was just poorly done in my opinion. I’m not a writer, so I won’t pretend that I could do better but this whole pasta felt.. mediocre. 5/10 – but keep trying. :/

  30. Story seemed captivating enough, although it felt like it was missing something. The plot is a good idea, and the videos are creepy, but not really creepy enough. I kinda feel like the story was kinda mixed up, like there wasn’t enough consistency. It needed more. Had potential, but was kinda drab and mediocre. Don’t give up though, you have all the pieces, just need to put them together nicely.

  31. BombLikeTickTick

To be honest, I’ve been doing a lot of reading on this site for the past few days, and this by far is one of the creepiest things I have ever seen in my life! The videos really helped fill in some… Of the more terrifying moments. All in all, well done.
