5 Haunted Fast Food Places You Never Thought Were Unsafe

Estimated reading time — 4 minutes

It is definitely hard to imagine life without our favorite fast food restaurants. These are places where we go whenever we crave a quick and delicious meal. A lot of these chains became trademarks of the US and spread worldwide. However, as random as it can be to take a quick lunch at a fast food restaurant, there is a chance that you’re surrounded by something supernatural while eating your meal.

You might never think about it, but what if you enter McDonald’s and suddenly see an eerie ghost? This is totally something to be scared of.

It turns out there are quite a lot of fast food locations that are known to be haunted and are famous for unusual occurrences. In this article, we will focus on 5 haunted fast food locations that might make you think twice before ordering your favorite meal.

1. Burger King, West Palm Beach, Florida

Most of us have enjoyed Burger King at least once in our lives. That’s the place where you know exactly what to expect. But not all Burger King spots are the same. In fact, one branch in West Palm Beach, Florida, is famous for being a ghostly trap for anyone who dares to go in.

Locals even joke that entering this place is like gambling, but you have better odds of winning free spins while playing online than coming out of this place without a paranormal encounter.

According to rumors, inside the restaurant, a janitor once ran after a mysterious man who stole his money. However, when he reached closer, the man disappeared into the air. This incident has happened twice, and after the second time, the poor janitor quit his job. Afterwards, other staff members also noticed this man hanging around the corner, and visitors claimed to feel uncomfortable and scared because of this ghost.

2. McDonald’s, Cuero, Texas

If you often like to have fast food, there is no way that McDonald’s isn’t one of your main spots to visit. The McDonald’s in Cuero, Texas, has a somewhat eerie history, for which you might want to avoid it, unless you actually want to have a weird supernatural experience.

Before this spot became McDonald’s, it used to be a gas station. Unfortunately, a few horrible accidents have happened here. One time, a little boy was run over by a car by his own mother. Also, if we trust the rumors, a mechanic who allegedly murdered his 6-year-old daughter was crushed by the garage’s car lift. Today, people at the restaurant tell stories that inside the place, you can hear strange sounds, toilets sometimes flush themselves, and a fridge might go out of control for no reason.

3. Subway, Dodgeville, Wisconsin

You can always find a sandwich to your taste at Subway. After all, this restaurant is known for its “fresh” ingredients, and compared to other fast food restaurant chains, Subway’s food is slightly healthier. That’s why many people choose it whenever they crave something slightly healthier. However, not all Subway locations are the same, and you should be careful with your choice.

For example, the one in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, is known to be haunted and a dangerous place. Before this building turned into Subway, it used to be a motorcycle shop. In 1984, a terrible car crash happened in which the shop owners were involved. It is believed that the wife of the shop owner haunts this Subway to till day.

Staff members have noticed a female voice calling their names, but no one’s there once they look. Also, things from shelves fall on their own, and a door buzzer goes off strangely when no one is there to press its button.

4. Taco Bell, Twinsburg, Ohio

Even though tacos are not originally from the US, this chain with its tacos has reached a very high popularity. However, this spot of Taco Bell in Twinsburg is nicknamed “the most terrifying establishment” in this city. The reports say there are at least four ghosts that the visitors and staff have often noticed.

These ghosts are a woodsman, a young girl dressed in white, a military veteran, and the most famous one, a teenage boy who is dressed in a Taco Bell employee uniform. The boy’s apparition has often scared away the customers and made them run from the restaurant. There’s even video footage where his ghost shows up and mysteriously disappears.

5. Domino’s Pizza, Boynton Beach, Florida

Domino’s is famous for being a fast-food spot where you can taste a great American pizza. Throughout its time, this building has passed under a lot of different restaurant names, including Red Lion Pub and Shea’s Corner Pub. As locals often say, this place is “seriously haunted.”

People say that this spot is haunted by a group of brunette women. The customers claim they get things thrown at them, but once they look, there’s no one around. Interestingly, blond women, in particular, have noticed their hair being pulled by invisible hands.

Bottom Line

Who would have thought that our favorite fast food chains could be places that hold a serious danger?! Not just a random danger but a supernatural one. We go to these spots so randomly that we never consider them as alarming or risky to go to. But instead of leaving with a full stomach, you could end up with a racing heart instead.

So, if you’re only hungry for a safe, peaceful meal, we suggest choosing other branches far, far away from these spots. But if you’re someone who loves horror stories as much as you love fries, then you should definitely go for these 5 haunted fast food spots.
