The creepypasta name generator gives you an unsettling alias, a real name, an origin and a calling card in one click. Use it to name an original character for your story, find a spooky username, or just see what the internet’s legends would call you. It’s free, instant and runs privately in your browser.
How to use it
Generate a batch of names and say your favorites out loud; the best ones sound almost friendly until you think about them. Famous characters like Jeff the Killer and Eyeless Jack pair an ordinary first name with one disturbing detail, and you can borrow that formula. Once you have a name, flesh the character out with our character generator, then give them a story worth reading. Keep your creation original rather than borrowing someone else’s character, since submissions must be your own work.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a generated name for my OC?
Absolutely. Names are free to use for original characters, stories, usernames and roleplay.
How do creepypasta characters get their names?
Most combine a normal name with a defining trait or habit, which makes them easy to remember and spread by word of mouth.
Will I get the same name twice?
Rarely. Names are built from large randomized lists, so you’ll see fresh combinations each time you click.
