Y’all Asked For It (Harold Redux)
In 1963, two young men hire on as ranch hands in the Wyoming mountains. During the long months of isolation, an unusual bond starts to develop between them, one which they are only vaguely aware of–until one night when it rises to the surface in a passionate encounter. When the season ends, they part ways, only to realize the true depth of their feelings. Thus begins a decades-long affair that the two of them desperately try to hide from those around them–one which will prove simultaneously beautiful and devastating.
ADMIN NOTE: Apparently, this post used to be the home of some classic ghost story called ‘Harold’, but there was a lot of complaining in the comments (and a lot of comments referencing a certain gay cowboy movie) so it was changed to this. It’s a summary of Brokeback Mountain, guys. It’s not a real pasta anymore. We considered deleting it, but the comment section is so huge and full of lol that we decided to save it. Every time someone critiques this “pasta” in a serious fashion, it’s amazing. Carry on and enjoy the show.

Are you HONESTLY telling me this is supposed to be a take on “Harold” and NOT a joke about “Brokeback Mountain”?
First of all, only one of the ranch-hands in “Harold” makes it out alive, as the other one is skinned by the scarecrow. How in the FUCK could they “begin[s] a decades-long affair that the two of them desperately try to hide” if one of them is a skinless corpse back at the house?
This is so just a joke off BBM, and any comparing it to “Harold” from “More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” is just wrong and incredibly foolish.
Gegner, the original story was posted, insulted, most said it needed more gay sex, so she changed it to this.

The entry is called “Harold Redux” because the ORIGINAL text in the entry was an edited version/adaptation of “Harold”…NOT because Harold = Brokeback Mountain. If you read the earlier comments, you’ll see people complaining about the quality of the adaptation. Rather than post the full text of “Harold”, WHO WAS PHONE went with Ricky’s comment (that it seemed like a “brokeback mountain tale”) as a joke.
