Y’all Asked For It (Harold Redux)

Add this post to your list of favorites! In 1963, two young men hire on as ranch hands in the Wyoming mountains. During the long months of isolation, an unusual bond starts to develop between them, one which they are only vaguely aware of–until one night when it rises to the surface in a passionate encounter. When the season ends, they part ways, only to realize the true depth of their feelings. Thus begins a decades-long affair that the two of them desperately try to hide from those around them–one which will prove simultaneously beautiful and devastating.
ADMIN NOTE: Apparently, this post used to be the home of some classic ghost story called ‘Harold’, but there was a lot of complaining in the comments (and a lot of comments referencing a certain gay cowboy movie) so it was changed to this. It’s a summary of Brokeback Mountain, guys. It’s not a real pasta anymore. We considered deleting it, but the comment section is so huge and full of lol that we decided to save it. Every time someone critiques this “pasta” in a serious fashion, it’s amazing. Carry on and enjoy the show.
Y'all Asked For It (Harold Redux),

Hmm. Anyone else find this a little nonsensical?
This story just doesn’t feel quite as self-contained as some of the other, better ones.

This would have been infinitely better if Thomas and Alfred had made out at some point. Even better if Thomas’s name was Bruce. Now THAT’S scary.

Ha, I remember this one from the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” books. I seem to remember it being a bit longer with more development of Harold being possessed though.

Ha. I also remember this from the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” series. It seemed to make more sense in the book. Here, it just doesn’t seem right. It wasn’t as well explained. The quality of creepypasta sure is decreasing…….Heck, I could probably get a story posted on here.

I remember reading this in “Scary Stories” as a kid. It was awesome when I first read it, and it’s still good. I remember there was a variation of this story, but I can’t remember exactly how it went.
Anyway, nice story.

Yes, an adaption of “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”…a bit light on the details, having trimmed a few lines, but still a good read and a stroll down ‘memory lane’ for me.

I remember this story~ It was from that old scary stories book I used to read in 3-4th grade xD. Those things were the best scary stories for children(especially the illustrations).

This one was the epitome of suck.
And I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was Brokeback Mountain-esque… I was waiting for it to be funny, actually.

When it started out, I thought it was going to be horrible. I was right. Not that great, kind of saw it coming.
Also, isn’t there a movie named “Scarecrow”, where a scarecrow becomes possesed and goes on a murderous rampage?
