Site News & Updates

This is the page where any site updates will go from now on, since I didn’t like having them interspersed with the pastas. If you have a question about recent changes to the site, this is the place to check before you spam your confusion all over the comments and forums.

08/20/2010 – I might be slow posting new stories and approving comments for awhile until I get a new computer, because the one I have has hit the wall and some days it takes a ridiculous amount of time to even load my email or open, like, notepad. Unless you want to buy me a new computer, complaining about my slowness won’t fix this, sorry.

08/15/2010 – FORUM NEWS: Due to several people’s requests, we’ve added the Creepypasta Writing Discussion subforum. Discuss anything related to writing (writer’s block, techniques, mood music, etc), ask for critiques on your pastas, that sort of thing.

You can also post links to your own creepy/paranormal blogs, webcomics, etc, but please keep it at a reasonable level. Making multiple threads about your site, spamming other posts, etc, will not be tolerated, so please keep your enthusiasm in check so you don’t get annoying and spammy, thanks!

From now on, posts that fit in these categories will be moved to the new subforum if you try and post them anywhere else on the forums.

07/29/2010 – I have added a Captcha function for the main site comments, to try and help combat the stupid amount of spam comments we’ve been getting lately. Please let me know if it isn’t working on certain browsers or if it’s giving you any funny results at all, thanks!

07/20/2010 – Since there have been many complaints about the IRC channel being “too hard” and “confusing”, I am working on a legit chatroom that will require little else but entering a name and your message, no thinking necessary. This system will also allow users to create multiple rooms, so for those of you who were using the old cbox in place of private messaging, please utilize this function and take personal conversations to their own rooms. You can help out by beta testing this system here. Please leave any issues as comments here, PM me on the forums, or message me if I’m in the chat (I’ll be using the name Sarah and the black background avatar with headphones).

07/19/2010 – The music that is playing on the main site is temporary, so don’t shit your pants rushing to complain about it. It’s just something I added for fun after fellow mod HI I AM AL spent the afternoon reading about numbers stations. It won’t stick around because it’ll suck up site resources and get annoying. The track was made by a Something Awful forumer (Modeski) and he posted it for stream and download here.
