I have a question… At the very end of the video, what did the text say underneath the yellow ‘shut down’ button? He clicked the red shut down or whatever, what was the text under the yellow option? The ~yeeeeellow~ option :D

Couldn’t they track Fortress’s account?? There are so many hackers out there, and they hack so many accounts, and because of THE INTERNET, it’s become so easy to track people. The internet is great for that. So, I’m thinking, “Yes, Fortress was smart for figuring out most of the puzzle, but maybe he left something in his videos that he didn’t realize revealed who he was/is??”
Think about it. I bet that if the police or whatever tried hard enough, and looked through his videos thoroughly enough, they would’ve been able to track Fortress down and discover who he was. I’m saying track FORTRESS down, because the other man didn’t leave enough evidence to who he was. Fortress made videos, but the guy who set up the mystery didn’t leave anything saying who he was… so… anyone patient enough to search the internet for more evidence?? Come on, guys, we could be online detectives!!

This is fake. “Adam Hughes made the website as well as this video, the shovel is the same in the 5th video as it is in the picture on the website, theres no such place as felynamynydd and I believe this Adam Hughes works at the Yellow House bar in London I went over and over this last night and think its a brilliant viral story to make the Yellow House more business, 10* given though for this as it is brilliant!!” — Megstar

Or it could be a third party. I’m just saying the dent in the metal and the scratch like marks were probably just the Al1 dude but it could have been another person who WAS seeing the video’s fortress was making. They could have gotten into a fight over the money (which would fit with the story) and one of them ended up dead and the other did not. And the Al1 guy could’ve just been a very rich eccentric troll.

This would be terrific if it were real! But, sadly, Al1′s site was created by Adam Butcher, the video creator. You can see it in the source coding. Also, the shovel Al1 buried the money with is the same one that Fortress brought with him in his last video. Adam Butcher did all this so he could make a short film. He’s also an actor. Sorry to burst anybody’s bubble.

It was a suicide. Notice how at roughly 5 minutes in, he goes to the location on his quest to find buried money, but he doesn’t bring a shovel, he doesn’t seem perplexed that there’s a fence(seeing as how he was very volatile in his videos, he seems pretty calm in the face of this obstacle) but conveniently just strolls alongside it until he finds an opening, he walks right past the tree and to the yellow box (which, in all fairness, did stick out a little), and even though the box had the perfect place to set the camera down temporarily while he pulled out his knife (which he made sure to brandish to the camera) he chose not to set it down since it would have shown his face; notice also that before he takes out his knife, the paint around the screw already looks like it has knife marks in it. He’s posting these videos to youtube in an attempt to be noticed, because if he were on a real scavenger hunt for money he wouldn’t give others a leg up by showing them the solution to the puzzles. The yellow words also said “ive been alone so long, but you’ll find me now,” meaning that this guy has felt like a shut-in and nobody notices him, so he’s going to make sure that people see him, even if he has to kill himself. And, it fits perfectly with the story to end that way, seeing as how he was aware of the pardoner’s tale from Chaucer (which, at least in my classes, was only touched upon once or twice – but then again, this is England and I imagine they’re pretty proud, lol) and its meaning. He staged the struggle and the other set of footprints, this is why he died from a single precise stab wound. He wanted to finally be noticed after feeling invisible; this is also why no one has identified the body – he probably has little to no family, and what family he does have may not even pay attention or care.

This was really well played, I enjoyed it immensely. However, it is clearly fake. The body was never identified, but they have a photo of the victim alive? Unless this guy carries head shots in his wallet, they made a big mistake there.

To be honest, this creeped me out, especially the part about how the body of the man that died was never identified. Was he Al1, the Fortress guy, or just a bystander who wanted the money and killed him out of greed?
Who knows?
The killer might still be out there at this moment.
