Ultimate whore myself:
I've been talking to an agent from The Nashville Literary Group for a few weeks now, and after reading most of the stories that I've written, they've decided to meet with me in person to discuss publication of an anthology of short stories in the dark fiction genre.
This is a big day for me and I finally feel like I'm doing something with my writing. I have a lot of people to thank here, with Phone being at the top of that list, of course.
I'm not sucking on the moderator teat here when I say that I am eternally thankful for the fact that people sign on to the internet and waste hours of their lives reading the crummy scrabble that I come up with sometimes.
Without certain people here who took the time to tell me "this was good, this was bad, do this more, and don't do this again," I wouldn't have arrived at this juncture. EVER. I didn't have the confidence nor the motivation to do so on my own.
So, thank you. When the hard copy edition is finally finished, I will be dedicating it to this website, and I'll make sure every single one of you get a free paperback, courtesy of myself. It's the least I could do.

This is while the guy who runs the show, his cousin, and brother (who are all Vietnamese) sat and laughed at me.
