As a kid, I loved making flip books. They were all I did in art class, whenever I had it. I worked really hard on one particular flip book. It was around 50 pages long, I guess. It had a simple stick figure walking into the page, waving at me, and then walking off. I would look at it at least a dozen times the day that I made it. Then it got boring. You know how kids are, not entertained by one thing for very long. I tossed it under my bed and never gave it a second thought.
A few months later, I was cleaning up my room and swept the stack of paper out from under my bed. I couldn’t quite remember what it was. I flipped through it once and got a sweet taste of nostalgia. I flipped through it once more and noticed the pages hadn’t aged or gained dirty at all. I flipped through a third time. The little stick man walked onto the page, waved at me, but didn’t walk off.
Instead, a second stick man joined him. It waltzed up, having either an item in its hand or a severely disfigured arm; its not like anyone could tell the difference. The second stick man walked next to the first stick figure, stood there for a moment, then whacked the poor fellow upside the head. The stick figure fell, and the second stick man swung his stick at the other man. Again. And again. And again.
What I assume was its blood ran from the stick figure’s rather jagged body. It looked like nothing more than smeared pencil stains. The killer stick man proceeded to bend down, and tear apart the first stick man’s body, limb by thin limb. Once he was done, he bent each one into characters and letters. He set them upon the page to form a single word. He grabbed the base of his own round head and tore it off. Then he tore off his legs, and then one of his arms. His zig-zagged body parts formed themselves into a second word. What I read made me burn the flip book.

is this about donald trump?
indeed a wonderful pasta but how come a 50 pages flip book manage to uphold the story with the second stickman with it .-. did the pages spawn like in minecraft .-.
Amazing :) Haters gonna hate.
Short and creepy!
Good starting point.
All you need is more time and content.
This could turn out very good.
Stick figures are dead to me.. O . O 10/10 Lmao
This story was alright, but it needed a more dimensional character set up and could’ve been longer.
More amusing than scary really. And what the second stick figure did at the end sounds like a Mortal Kombat fatality, or maybe I’ve been playing old PS2 games with my brother too much lately…
OMG i make a flip note almost every day! so scary 9/10
I liked this pasta. Could’ve used more buildup but overall, a refreshing story. 8/10 would have seconds.
All that in 50 pages? Either be has some mental problems or is went super fast.
6.5/10
Loved this pasta, super yummy. I could relate to this since as a child I loved to make flip books too.
I don’t believe all that stuff could happen in a flipbook of only 50 or so pages. Good pasta though.
Interdimensional portal inbetween the pages? Like, it kept flipping between 2 pages, and on the other side of said portal, some sadistic childlike being kept redrawing those pages as the kid flipped through them. And that kid never notced.
Maybe?
Anyways, good pasta. However, although the idea IS interesting, it ended up sort of bland overall. Take this story and fill in the missing details, flesh it out, and it might change all the hater’s minds about it. 6.3/10.

one of the shortest yet creepiest pasta ive read. \m/
decent pasta, slightly creepy.
the part i found humorous, idk if anyone esle thought about it, but if this were to happen then by the 3rd flip the flip book wouldve turned about 3 times as long for all of the actions to happen….
I see a range of people who hate it, to ones that love it. I like it, it’s short and sweet.
Oh no a stick figuure is coming to get you. So frightening
BUT WHO WAS PENCIL?
I thought it would be bad until the end. It was ok. A meh pasta.
It was probably his older brother pranking him or something. Also that flip book had to be like 400 fucking pages. 6/10.
How could anybody enjoy this? And to repeat what’s already been said a few times: What a long fucking flipbook.
Yummyish pasta.. it was good at the beginning but the end was lacking pasta sauce. I felt like the end was missing something, like there needed to be more to the story. Would eat again. 6/10
Meh pasta is meh.
Ignore the bad comments ok, this story was like one of the best creepypastas EVER! :3
good story, ending sucked though.
HOLY MOTHER OF ****ING GOD ITS A MOTHER****ING FLIPBOOK THATS MOTHER****ING ALIVE AND IS MOTHER****ING SHOWING MOTHER****ING SLAUGHTER!!!!
…Maybe something happens at the end- better keep flipping.
AAAAARGH ITS ALIIIIIVE
…Maaaybeee…
THE HORROR SOMEONE END THIS NIGHTMARE
Almost…There…
You got a really fast progression of age there. Months before you were just a kid, months later you’re a teenager or some adult, cleaning his room, and having a sense of nostalgia from that flip book.
Would be better if you changed the word “Months” to “Years”.
So how long were you flipping this 50 page book to see all this violent shit happen? Does this book go on forever
This isn’t real…
It was good, but there is quite alot of room for improvement. 7/10
It was good, but ended waaaay to abrupt.
Too childish and simple.
2/10
2 because I’m so nice and because stick men are creepy in their own stick-y way.
Ok, I kinda liked this, it’s a good concept that simply wasn’t explored to it’s full potential. The problem is, how did all of that fit into only 50 pages? I would understand if you elaborated in a creepy way, like say, when he got to the end of the animation and flipped back to the first frame it was oddly stuck on last frame, and would continue on from then.
Other than that, this is so-so, borderline mediocre.
“You’re next”
Abrupt ending made me LOL’d instead…
not impressed. im pretty sure it would have taken waaaaay more than 50 pages in a flip book for a stick figure to murder anyone and spell anything.
totally garbage
totally garbage
This was pretty shit. No offence. I’d be more scared watching americas most wanted.
The concept is good and it has potential, but like so many people have pointed out – the entire time I couldn’t think of anything but, “This cannot happen in a 50 page flipbook.”
GOOD MAN! see thats what most people dont do: BURN THE FUCKING BOOK. mostg people go HERP DERP OOH A KILLER STICK MAN LET ME MAKE OUT WITH HIM AND HELL GIVE ME CANDY LIKE HE SAID
10/10
I’m scared of stick men now.
Man, this really had a lot of potential. :/ The cliche ending really didn’t help, either.
I’m so going to do this to completely fuck with my children.
I don’t think only 50 pages of a flip book could do that.
That was a long-ass flip book! Did the kid have a phone book and about welve hours of spare to work with?
That was a long-ass flip book! Did this kid have a phone book and about twelve hours of spare time to work with?
I am not impressed….
I agree with Samuel. I take a traditional animation class, and 50 frames only gives you around two seconds to have all that happen. Once I saw that, i just kinda scoffed and couldn’t get into the story anymore.
horrible. 1/10
why not just burn the paper? or erase the pencil. or fap to gay porn
Hail to the Fail Whale.
Terrible. Anyone who likes this is the cancer killing this site.
1.5/10, you’re lucky I even gave it that. Terrible.
Good idea, but the description seemed longer than an actual flipbook could last….
That was one long damn flip book.
im sorry, i have to do this… well really cause im bored:
BUT WHO WAS ART TEACHER!!!!
interesting concept, but not scary, the stickfigure cant harm you, it ripped itself apart…
not worth the signature
Hey, not bad. 6/10
you know, after over-thinking it all to the point of developing brain hemorages, i’ve figured out the genius of the story:
the boy actually DID draw this out, but had forgotten about it because he was posessed by a demon and had also murdered his whole family with a ball peen hammer that night. so, it’s extra creepy because it’s a note to self: you killed your family, now you have to kill yourself.
great.
Um, I think you meant a few months ago instead of a few months later unless the story’s perpective is that of a kid?
Or I dunno, nostalgic can you get from a couple of months.
The only part of this that I enjoyed was how I pictured the stick figure killing the other stick figure. Other than that I was bored.
A sadly pointless story. Nothing that happened actually happened for a reason; it was all meaningless information that led to meaningless scare tactics in the end. It feels like someone just thought “what’s an innocent childhood item I can make creepy? Flip books!” and just scribbled something down in about five minutes. If this were a first attempt then it would be decent.
Ehh, it was kind of clever, but the spelling errors and grammar marred it. You tossed it under your bed and forgot about it, and then found it in a few months?
You had no idea what it was? Maybe if you had made it clear some serious time had passed or something, but instead it just sort of looks like you can’t remember anything happening a few months back. XD
Creeped me out! Could have been a bit better though, some more nuance in the story.
QUEER
So he’s like “Oh it’s spelling something, I wonder what it is… You… You’re… You’re nex… Gee I wonder what it will say?? You’re next. Oh shit! Someone’s playing a prank on me!! No, I have a better Idea, It’s gonna get me!!! I must burn the book so I don’t get killed by a stickman!!! But that was really cool, I’m gonna go through one more time ‘cos than was fucking awesome!!”
RE-TARD ¯\(°_o)/¯
AWFUL
THEN WHO WAS GAINED DIRTY AT ALL?
Simple and tasty.
No excess fluff, but critics find a way.
Not really that scary, I found it kind of cute though..
Because what isn’t adorable about carnage in stick figure form?
it’s because you used something “cutesy” like a flip book.
neat idea though.
But if the flip book was only fifty pages, how’d all that happen in one flip-through?
Sorry but…this pasta was not a good one, in my opinion. It wasn’t the slightest bit scary due to the fact that your descriptions were sort of lame. Even if you would’ve added more description, there just isn’t enough there for it to actually be “creepy.” It wasn’t the worst…definitely not the best. 2.5/10
…
Must have been a really long flipbook
@watever: If you tear them into small enough pieces, sure.
The concept in general was really good, too bad that the story wasn’t thought through well enough, and the “You’re next” ending was way too cliché.
I’d really like to see a more fleshed out pasta based on this idea, it really has potential.
This pasta had the same effect as The Message, Focus, and Thanks. Yummy pasta indeed. Creepy but i agree, it could have been way SCARIER. It was too predictable.
Wow, that’s a lot of stuff that happened in a 50 page flip-book… must have looked like really choppy stop-animation…
Also, like what others have said, I’m pretty sure there aren’t enough lines in 2 stick figures to spell “you’re next,”… Although, there probably are enough lines to spell “Ur nxt,”…
Meh… Kinda retarded.
ehh, good concept. writing wasn’t good at all, though. no buildup.
Should have had a better ending, i mean really…. ‘i burned it’ it just gets rid of the whole problem. Could have been longer but other than it being abrupt i loved it! :) 9/10
Watever – I’m sure you can spell quite a bit with a MUTILATED stick man.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. shit aas
Not great, needed more buildup. Also, KK, SaBaTon was not saying ‘Don’t like it’ as in ‘You shouldn’t like this’ They meant, I presume, ‘I don’t like it’. I don’t usually point out the mistakes of my fellow pasta-lovers, but you need to learn that not everybody uses all the words that belong in a sentence. To revert to a simpler method: L2 Internet. Sorry if I’m being offensive, but [insert ass-kissing yet cynical apology here] Peace out, rock on, whatever.
Again, mediocre pasta. Not too bad, but yeah. I’m not in the mood to spell out why I don’t like something.
XD Not creepy, but I know it’s not intended to be taken seriously. I like it. Definitely good humor in this.
BUT WHO WAS FLIP BOOK?
Had potential but didn’t quite do it.
the 2nd stick figure could be destroyed simply by erasing him, or drawing in another larger/moar menacing stick figure to kill him.
not creepy.
christ, how many pages did this flipbook have? sounds like you did it on the corners of the complete works of stephen king.
Wonderfully short, though not the best I’ve read. Lacked a certain something, but I don’t know what.
5/10
Generic pasta is generic.
Oh god, not a stick figure! I’m shaking in my boots.
Close, but no cigar.
Short and sweet. Made me tingle for some reason.
Here’s to sweet dreams tonight.
“I flipped through it once more and noticed the pages hadn’t aged or gained dirty at all. ”
gained dirty? really?
and do two stick men have enough lines to spell “you’re next” ???
Nice concept, I really liked it but… there’s one thing that kind of bothers me. He watches the stick figure murder and dismember the other stick figure, but doesn’t run out of pages or anything. And he doesn’t notice that it’s spelling out “you’re next”? Still, I liked it.
lol
I agree! It’s a lot more like an Appetizer, not much the main dish.
munch,munch,munch
pasta is overall good but needs more flavor and spice
Not even remotely interesting.
The one part that bugged me: “or gained dirty at all.”
Otherwise I liked it C: Very yummy
I thought it was cute.
Plenty of sauce, but not nearly enough pasta. It was a good idea that finished blandly.
3/10
Thank you for bringing back the short and sweet pastas!
MORE PLEASE
Poor stick figure
The concept was good enough, but lacking in delivery.
The way the story was written seemed a bit too casual for my liking and went to fast for the buildup to really work.
Also, and I’m surprised no one else brought this up, flipbooks don’t take up too many pages for an animation if done properly, so how on Earth would the book have had extra pages for the second stick figure and it’s actions? Did it stop on the last page and continue animating by itself?
In short, you really should have gone into more detail and dragged it out a bit more.

BUT THEN WHO WAS STICK
@SaBaToN: You can’t tell someone not to like something! You can have your own opinion, or even say that the other person’s is stupidif you feel that strongly about it, but you can’t say, “Don’t like it” !
Anyway, I thought it was very predictable, but it wasn’t like it hurt my eyes to read it, or anything. I guess I can only say it was OK and- Wait!! I make flip books!!! :( Ahhhh shoot!
I liked it. Short and sweet. And it was quite a good idea. Maybe could hve been better if it had turned out that when he was younger and made the flip book he was all fucked in the head so he didn’t remember doing it or something. I dunno.
But anyway. Would eat again. It was pretty tasty.
I like it! It’s quick and dirty, but it has a clever enough concept that I actually did feel a little bit of that “oh shit” you get from a really good pasta. Keep it up!
This is like appetizerpasta, not a full dish.
Love it!
So wait, was the second figure Bill Goldberg or what?
Congratulations for making to the main site! Still delicious and a bit creepy, being an artist and everything. Om nom nom.
Cute, but not creepy.
who was limb? OSOM STOREH BRO
Yumm pasta.
Don’t like it. It had no build up.
And, worse yet, it had no explanation or twist of any kind. Like if it was some story about the narrator being crazy and then spending time redesigning the flip book with intricate carnage and then eventually being inspired to imitate it or something. Like if there was some weird twist or something, it’d be good. But it was abrupt and without any suspense and it sucked.
And then you burned the book and were done with it? The ashes didn’t spell some cryptic evil message? Lame. 3/10.
Actually, I think the twist was that somebody had remade the flip book with the narrator in mind.
Reading so many pastas daily, we often take for granted the possibility of supernatural activities, and assume it is always such, rather than being something more conventional like a stalker, which is what I think the case is here.
Meh.
It kind of reminded me of that spongebob episode.
But I liked it regardless. 9/10
BUT WHO WAS NEXT?
You were, idiot.
awful.
The flip book concept could have been SO GREAT.
But I was not impressed with this story at all. Not scary and just… not.
2/10
Short and sweet! Would definitely eat this pasta again!
Indeed an excellent pasta!:3
