It is said that all of us have ancestral memories locked away within us. Some even argue to say that these memories are kept in consciousnesses separate from our own, or, to put it more simply, in multiple personalities. To unlock these memories is to gain an infinite amount of wisdom from the mistakes and experiences of the past, but to access the memories, one would have to discover their “other” personalities, and once they’re awakened, they’ll be wanting a body to STAY awake in….

ooooooh gooseebumps¡¡¡
Let’s all become Time Lords so we can regenerate and not have to deal with multiple personalities
?
Quite interesting for a micro-pasta. Can’t wait to see if this expands into a full story.
Oh, no, thanks, we’re already more than enough in here.
Mr. Welldone I find your comments both inspiring and illuminating, a tip of my hat to you sir.
As for the pasta, what it lacks in creepiness it more than makes up for in being extraordinarily interesting.
Bravo.
frightening. do genealogy research before attempting. in case you have a mass murderer in your family tree.
I’ve heard of ancestral memories but that is not what they are.
BUT WHO WAS MUAD’DIB?
THEN WHO WAS ASSASSIN’S CREED?
Eh.. Didn’t like this one to much. Mr. Welldone, you never cease to amaze me. Thank you for commenting on this site. Your insight is more entertaining than the pastas.
Before people go “Assassins Creed ripoff” I think it’s worth noting that this is a theory that has been discussed a lot and is not that far from fiction. Our DNA supposedly has memory stored in it, and that may be exactly what we’ve been referring to as “instinct”.
Not very creepy my e a begining of a good story but not of a creepypasta
This was a strange pasta.. I wouldn’t really want someone else’s soul or personality invading my body ):
The ‘WHO WAS’ are getting old. They’re funny the first 5 times but then get incredibly boring.
THEN… WHO WAS MEMORY?
Not that creepy or brix-worthy, and not very well written…It has a lot of potential, but it needs some work.
@#9: There is a scientific theory that states that all of the memories of all of our ancestors are ‘locked’ away deep in our genetic code. Scientists are experimenting to test this theory and to potentially ‘unlock’ those hidden experiences. They theorize that if this is possible, that thousands of years of knowledge could be obtained by one person, without having been there themselves. This pasta takes it a step further and claims that if these memories ARE opened, then the minds of those who owned the memories will attempt to take over your body for themselves.
As far a creepypasta goes, this is not creepy at all but a very interesting subject nonetheless.
…nah
didn’t like this too much
Didn’t care for this pasta much.
As anon said above me, it’s pretty pasta, but not very creepy.
Collective Unconscious, or more accurately Collective Subconscious is a term of analytical psychology, coined by Carl Jung. While Freud did not distinguish between an “individual psychology” and a “collective psychology”, Jung distinguished the collective subconscious from the personal subconscious particular to each human being. The collective subconscious is also known as “a reservoir of the experiences of our species.”[
Very pasta, not very creepy.
i don’t get it can someone explain
Ok…well, i find it more of an advantage of having multiple personalities instead of a disadvantage of finding…ugh…wisdom?..yeah..
@DM: Actually, it’s more like the concept of Other Memory as found in the Dune series of novels. In fact, one character (Alia Atreides) is taken over by the personality of her paternal grandfather. Unfortunately, he happens to be the ruthless Baron Harkonnen.
So…did I say ‘more like’? I meant ‘exactly like’.
A little short.
i think it wouldve made a good narrative though.
Not creepy, more of a trip than anything.
I like it.
Hello.
Ah, Mr. Jung.
It is amazing that so few are aware of his forays into the world of the unknown and the supernatural.
Indeed, his love of the esoteric is evident in his works. His exploration of the intangible potential of humanity is akin to the scholars of old.
I take my hat off to him.
How far humanity has fallen.
Talk about confusing.
Assassin’s Creed much?
I was thinking the same thing, but to me it sounds like if you discover your ‘other personalities’ you’ll become more like that specific ancester than yourself.
that was the problem in Revelations
